You’ll learn about the birthplace of Richmond and it’s heroes, and hear how our partner merchants got their start. But most of all, we’ll make sure you have fun doing it.

Be sure to bring water and comfortable shoes – we’ll be standing at most of our stops, and we’ll be in and out too quickly for water and other beverages to be served.

Our Church Hill Food Tour was excellent! Brian was a knowledgeable tour guide with a great sense of humor. The eating establishments included on the tour were diverse and quite interesting, and the foods were delicious! Portions were generous; in fact, everyone in our group took food home because we were so full! I highly recommend River City Food Tours. I have arranged two private tours with them, and both times Brian was able to set up a date and time that suited our needs. He is quite responsive through email, responding to my messages almost immediately.
