I was tasked with finding activities to entertain the founder of our company and COO who were in town visiting from CA. I had been eyeing these tours to try out for myself for a few weeks and thought this was a great ice breaker and way to really get to show off what a cool city we live in, the history behind it, and of course the incredible food. Lindsey was great! She was able to conversate with everyone in our party without hovering. She was knowledgeable, charismatic, and kept us on our schedule which was important for our day. The food selections pushed a lot of the members of our group out of their box and they ended up LOVING IT. Like, everyone couldn't say enough about how incredible the food was. We got REALLY full but we were able to box up/take home some of the items. The walking in between helped with the digestion too. Brian was also fantastic to work with. I was able to get this tour set up within a week. His emails were always professional and timely. He even helped us when we got turned around and couldn't find Lindsey to start our tour (even though we were given specific instructions, so totally my fault) I highly recommend this and will definitely be doing it again!

R., I'm so glad we successfully impressed the "higher-ups!" It sounds like you all had such a great day full of activities planned, and I hope they left with positive impressions of our city overall! - Brian

Our office did this tour to showcase our city to some out-of-town colleagues. I grew up in Richmond and have lived here for a long time, and found a lot of new restaurants. Our guide Lindsay was great- very laid back, but extremely knowledgeable about the area. We got a lot of history sprinkled in between tasty bites. Every place was amazing, but my favorite was getting to see the wood-fired bread oven at Sub Rosa and getting to chat with the head baker about how the process works. Come hungry, and wear comfortable shoes! It was a typical early summer day in RVA (humid and a little toasty), but we were provided plenty of water, the pace was slow, and we had a chance to take a little break at Liberty Public House. So- all in all- extremely fun, very VERY tasty, and an interesting way to learn the history of the area and find new places to eat!

I have been living in Richmond for awhile now but I don't get out to try new restaurants very often. This tour was awesome because I tried six new places in Church Hill. We made a fun date day out of it, and we really enjoyed the day. Lindsey was great, the food was awesome, and we got a little but of Richmond history, too! Such a great way to spend and afternoon if you are looking for something to do with a small group. Come hungry; you won't leave that way!
