Comb Jelly Bioluminescence Kayak Tour

Overview
In the cooler Florida months, bioluminescent Comb Jellies congregate in the protected waters of the Indian River Lagoon. Living in the most bio-diverse estuary in North America, Comb Jellies are clear, glob-like creatures that, despite their name, do not sting! So as you paddle the calm waters laced with mangroves and palm trees, you can catch and hold these gentle glowing creatures. They're right at your fingertips while having a safe, awe-inspiring kayak adventure with those who share your enthusiasm for new and unique experiences.

In addition to the stars, the myriad of protected wildlife around you, and the Comb Jelly’s bioluminescence, their “ribs” are lined with cilia that they use to propel themselves, so when you cast a flashlight on them just right, they’ll also refract a dynamic rainbow-y light show! They’re right at your fingertips while having a safe, awe-inspiring kayak adventure with those who share your enthusiasm for unique experiences.

We booked for a group of 5 family members and it was wonderful! Brian and Bubba were great guides. They were informative and very professional. We had a blast! My only suggestion would be to allow people to be assigned a boat upon arrival so they can have a place to put their belongings while getting the safety briefing and getting outfitted. We loved it so much that we plan to make the trip again from the panhandle to do a summer tour. Thanks a million!

My three adult daughters and I went on this excursion and we loved it. We were prepared for the fact that the bioluminescence wasn’t going to be spectacular but it was lovely and interesting nonetheless (we went the second week of October) Jayden was a fabulous guide and I highly recommend him!

What an awesome trip! Jaden was a wonderful guide. He made sure everyone was safe, had fun and learned about this unique ecosystem. I can't wait to do it again!!! Dolphins were jumping, manatee swimming below and the comb jelly and bioluminescent algae was amazing!!!
