Comb Jelly Bioluminescence Kayak Tour

Overview
In the cooler Florida months, bioluminescent Comb Jellies congregate in the protected waters of the Indian River Lagoon. Living in the most bio-diverse estuary in North America, Comb Jellies are clear, glob-like creatures that, despite their name, do not sting! So as you paddle the calm waters laced with mangroves and palm trees, you can catch and hold these gentle glowing creatures. They're right at your fingertips while having a safe, awe-inspiring kayak adventure with those who share your enthusiasm for new and unique experiences.

In addition to the stars, the myriad of protected wildlife around you, and the Comb Jelly’s bioluminescence, their “ribs” are lined with cilia that they use to propel themselves, so when you cast a flashlight on them just right, they’ll also refract a dynamic rainbow-y light show! They’re right at your fingertips while having a safe, awe-inspiring kayak adventure with those who share your enthusiasm for unique experiences.

the area was really nice and weather was perfect. the people doing the tour were cool and provided us with bug spray and glow sticks. we were kind of bummed it didn’t look like the pictures. we were told once we were on the water that the hurricane had diluted the area, so the bioluminescent wasn’t visible at all. we were able to catch some little comb jelly things that light up, so that was cool. And the clear kayaks were pitch black in the dark, making them pretty pointless. The experience was nice but for the price....way too expensive since it was just a regular kayaking trip

We went on the bioluminescence clear kayak tour with our guide Jaden. He was so informative. And the tour is awesome! We saw jumping mullet that had it attached and was so cool. Every time paddle moved it glowed! And when you put your hand in it as well. If you held a comb jelly your hand glowed even longer! Was so cool. Definitely worth the $$ and trip. It was a great time for both myself and my daughter!
