Comb Jelly Bioluminescence Kayak Tour

Overview
In the cooler Florida months, bioluminescent Comb Jellies congregate in the protected waters of the Indian River Lagoon. Living in the most bio-diverse estuary in North America, Comb Jellies are clear, glob-like creatures that, despite their name, do not sting! So as you paddle the calm waters laced with mangroves and palm trees, you can catch and hold these gentle glowing creatures. They're right at your fingertips while having a safe, awe-inspiring kayak adventure with those who share your enthusiasm for new and unique experiences.

In addition to the stars, the myriad of protected wildlife around you, and the Comb Jelly’s bioluminescence, their “ribs” are lined with cilia that they use to propel themselves, so when you cast a flashlight on them just right, they’ll also refract a dynamic rainbow-y light show! They’re right at your fingertips while having a safe, awe-inspiring kayak adventure with those who share your enthusiasm for unique experiences.

Daughters surprised their Dad with this amazing experience! Such a great memory! Our guides, Sam, Kevin and Seth were knowledgeable and we enjoyed the education. Thanks for letting us play! Truly a great birthday memory was made!

Only thing missing on the tour was getting to see a rocket launch as it got delayed. Got there on time and guides had boats out and ready to go, easy check in and quick briefing and then into the water. We started seeing the jellys within minutes and it was amazing (they are so squishy!) Also had a treat as someone was launching fireworks that we got to watch from the water before heading around and seeing the dino bio glowing in the water just from moving your hand around. Tour guides were great and the sights were amazing. Only regret was waiting this long before finally doing this. As mentioned in previous comments, bring bug spray and would suggest long sleeves/pants to keep mosquitoes off so you can enjoy the trip more.
