We had Todd for two photo excursions. One was for the Colors of Denali and the other a Photo Workshop. We were the only two that showed up for this excursion due to the rains and must admit that we didn't see any sunsets but Todd showed us some tricks with both our cameras and Iphones. The second evening there was a third person so we didn't get as much personal time, but we were able to practice some of the things we had learned the night before. The rains came down again, but we got some great rainbows as well as some interesting pictures of less photographed wildlife like beavers and swans. I surprised myself when I thought I was taking a picture of a flower and there was a beautiful dragonfly just resting on the stem. One suggestion - bring bug spray as the mosquitoes were relentless

Thanks for the review and for going on two tours. When there is weather on the Sunset Tour it is impossible to predict what the clouds will do. It is a chance we have to take, because there is nothing more dynamic than a break in the storm at sunset. The world of macro is full of endless opportunities , sounds like a wonderful image.

Pilot Bob was every informative with a funny sense of humor. Even though we couldn’t see the top of Denali, we saw all sides of it. The glaciers were amazing and the blue ice was beautiful. Smoothest landing of all my flights!

We wanted some help learning how to take the best images while visiting Denali, so we booked an excursion with Denali Photo Guides through our cruise company. Our guide, Todd Whetstine was incredible. He was friendly, personable, and oh so patient. He was also incredibly enthusiastic about sharing his extensive knowledge. He made us feel as if he really loved helping us, and not as if it was just a job. Thanks to his patient instruction, we were able to get some amazing images of the mountain and the wildlife in the park. We highly recommend Denali Photo Guides, but we especially recommend Todd. He’s a fantastic teacher. Thanks again! Gary and Karen G.

Thank you. Since I started this company I have always said, " I know what hard work is and this ain't it ." This job , especially in this place is "dream work". I asked Todd to join our team cause I knew how much it would mean to him. He gives 100% every tour. All of our guides revere this place and the opportunity to share it with others.
