Not recommended for travelers with poor cardiovascular health
Suitable for all physical fitness levels
Due to safety concerns, customers are not allowed to bring any personal items on the flight
Due to weather, flights may be 25 to 35 minutes in length
Children must be accompanied by an adult. Children 8 yrs and older must sit in the front middle seat. Children 12 yrs and older may sit by an open door.
Wheelchair accessible - if assistance is required, passenger must provide their own caregiver
All pilots and aircraft are FAA-certified
Helicopter holds 4 passengers; larger groups may be separated
Front seat guests CAN NOT EXCEED 330lbs combined weight.
All guests weighing 270 lbs or more when weighed at check-in, will be required to purchase an additional empty seat less 15% before fuel surcharge to safely balance the aircraft. They will be guaranteed a window seat.
Seating is assigned based on weight and balance following guidelines which have been approved by the FAA. We cannot guarantee seats as the weight of guests must be balanced within the aircraft.
A seat upgrade is not a guarantee; however, if you purchase a co-pilot and/or window seat upgrades, we will do our best to seat you in your purchased location. If we cannot accomodate a seat upgrade due to weight and balance requirements for your flight (or for any other reason), we will refund your upgrade purchase at check-in.

Highly recommend this tour! The was my first helicopter ride but Matt went through all safety procedures and made us feel safe. The views are incredible and you’re able to get close to valleys and waterfalls that are inaccessible by car or foot. Amazing experience that we would love to do again. We even landed and did a short hike to a cliff edge for more views of the ocean. Matt was a great guide, showing us fresh fruit that we could pick and eat from the trees. We also felt very COVID-safe. Thanks Matt!!!

This was a breathtaking tour of huge waterfalls and deep green valleys that you can only dream of! HIGHLY recommend the DOORS OFF kohala valley tour leaving from Waimea - Kohala Airport. Our pilot Matt was phenomenal and super friendly. COVID precautions were excellent. I left with the feeling that we saw some secrets of the island that are inaccessible to most! 40 minutes was actually perfect, and seemed like much much longer.

Amazing views of waterfalls, coastline, and ocean. The flight was ~35 min, which was honestly long enough. I would recommend leaving out of Waimea (rather than Kona), since that means the flight is all nature views rather than burning helicopter time traveling between the cities. We got to see valleys that are practically impossibly to access otherwise. Our guide answered all our questions and gave us restaurant recommendations at the end! The company is careful about sticking to recommendations regarding COVID. We brought our own masks, so I'm not sure if they provide them otherwise (you can call and ask). They did provide phone straps!
