What To Expect

BREW-ed

This Brewery Tour is hosted by a Certified Cicerone, a recognized expert when it comes to beer. As your guide takes you to each brewery, you'll do more than just drink. You'll learn about the brewing process, the ingredients and the history of beer while you discover some of the best breweries Asheville has to offer. At each stop on the brewery tour, you will enjoy three to four six ounce samples of beer. It is highly recommended that you eat a substantial meal before the tour and take smaller samples if you feel like you've had enough alcohol. In between breweries, your guide will tell you about the history of Asheville and how it came to be the beautiful city it is today. Feel free to ask questions at any point during the tour. This tour went above and beyond our expectations. Cliff was an engaging and knowledgeable guide. The beer samples were plentiful. Plus, the tour passes by Vortex doughnuts which was the perfect mid-tour snack. All in all, from 5 ladies that have lived in Wisconsin and done our fair share of brewery tours, we were impressed!

This was easily the best brewery tour my husband and I have ever been on. I don't even drink beer and I had a great time. Our guide was extremely knowledgeable and was able to describe the process of brewing in a way I could understand it (science is not my strong suit). I would recommend this tour to anyone!

My boyfriend and I did the Thursday evening tour with Brew-Ed on the first night of our long weekend in Asheville – what an amazing choice! Our tour guide Greg was extremely knowledgeable and charismatic. We could’ve listened to him talk for hours! We especially enjoyed learning about the more technical aspects of beer production and tasting. The information we learned during our tour set us up for even more enjoyable visits to other local breweries. Greg also provided awesome recommendations for local food and drinks spots. Thanks Brew-Ed for getting our weekend off to an awesome start!
