Cliff was an amazing guide through the breweries and the walks between the breweries. It amazed me all the information there was to know about beer, the history, the process, to drinking it. Cliff also was able to tell some history of Asheville that was fun and interesting. I highly recommend this tour!

My husband and I have done about 8 brewery tours and this is by far my favorite. We chose the three hour friday afternoon tour and were not disappointed. Cliff is very knowledgeable in both beer and breweries in general and Asheville specifically. He was a personable guide that used all the fancy science terms and then explained the concepts with things like toasting bread or varieties of tomatoes. The walking was pretty minimal due to brewery proximities and the amount of samples at each brewery were impressive. I highly recommend eating prior to the tour!

Even after eating a good lunch before our 2pm tour to 3 different breweries, our 12 samples, still left me feeling a wee bit toasty. My husband and I are not beer aficionados, but we thoroughly enjoyed all the many different types of brews that were offered. The best part, though, was all of the knowledge that Cliff (our well-versed, animated, friendly tour guide) imparted upon us throughout the 3 1/2 hour tour, from each step of the brewing process to how to properly taste a beer to historical anecdotes of the town of Asheville. By the end of the tour, we had made friends with a few of the other participants and it was more like hanging out with friends. We decided to go back to Asheville Brewing Company the next night for dinner to 1) enjoy their awesome brews and 2) to thank them for allowing Brew-ED to tour their facility. Very awesome experience and definitely well worth the $50 per person.
