Great tour! As someone from KC looking for the history of beer brewing in Asheville, the in's and out's of the malting and fermenting process, and great advice on where to start on the menu, our BREW-ed tour guide did a perfect job. This is someone who is close friends with the brewery staff and who can talk beer on any level. We had a small group and walking to the bars was enjoyable. Highly recommend.

We had a blast on this tour! We learned so much more than we expected--besides just the standard "how beer is made" spiel, Cliff shared his extensive knowledge about the history of brewing and of individual breweries in Asheville and beyond, along with really interesting info on the legal loopholes and distribution laws that have fostered the craft beer culture. Most importantly, the samples were flowing the whole time (usually full pints), so you really get your money's worth--much cooler than just hopping around a few breweries on your own and spending the same amount of money.

My boyfriend and I went to the three hour Saturday tour and had so much fun! I loved learning about the history of Asheville and background of the breweries. Cliff was an engaging, incredibly knowledgeable and qualified guide. He answered my questions and made welcome suggestions about which breweries offered a specific kind of beer. I felt that he went above and beyond! It was obvious that he had picked the three breweries to compliment each other and allow a comprehensive variety of beer to be tasted. The pace of the tour was perfect, and the walks to each brewery were short and full of fun facts! I also thought that the size of the tour was on par, 14 individuals and it seemed to be 7 pairs, made for an engaged group that was large enough but still felt like a personal one-on-one experience. The number of samples was perfect, 10 generous samples that were all unique and different from each other! I would definitely go on another tour if we are ever in Asheville again, an overall great experience!
