This tour is just a short walk through great Chicago neighborhoods starting near Navy Pier and the Magnificent Mile, and then heading into the Gold Coast & River North. Compare two American pizzas vs. two Italian pizzas to understand how pizza evolved as an immigrant food. Explore Deep Dish, Roman, Neapolitan, and Artisanal pizza in just a couple of hours. Discuss how each of these styles is crafted and the differences in their ingredients, baking techniques, and ovens. Plenty of pizza to eat, come hungry!

We will walk past Holy Name Cathedral after one of our pizza stops.

Our first time in Chicago and this tour was one of the best experiences my husband and I have ever experienced. John was amazing he was so knowledgeable about the history and methods of pizza making and the regions they represent I definitely would recommend this as a must do

We thoroughly enjoyed our guide, James, the various restaurants, our fellow travelers and, of course, the pizza! We were able to try variety of styles, and watch one of our pizzas bring prepared and cooked before our eyes. The walking parts were minimal: we spent the majority of our time sitting in the various restaurants chowing down on pizza. Since my husband couldn't eat pizza, our guide kindly paid for a pasta dish for him to enjoy. One warning---come hungry!!!
