when my wife invited me to "forest bathe," i was initially somewhat bemused. "hmmm, 'forest bathing'; sounds kind of fun and at least like good exercise." within 10-minutes, though, i realized that this was not a lightweight, surface introduction to something interesting about the woods, but instead an invitation to go within ā deeply within ā and to do so with others. the forest may be subtle, even slow, but it holds the properties and possibilities for transformation; and not just "happy, smiley-faced, back-to-nature" transformation, but a call to our essence; a call to our core emotions (joy and fear, sadness, anger, even surprise). the forest and the people who journey alongside us ā the transparency, vulnerability and generosity of both ā invite an easy access to our deeper body-minds, and to our internal wisdom. while our guides, kelly and krista, were welcoming and kind ā finishing our visit with a nurturing tea ceremony ā they were also serious-minded, fully accepting and open to whatever might emerge: from fear and sadness to clarity, newness and joy. what a great gift this was. my gratitude to our guides...and to my wife for a meaningful (and needed) experience. - david vk

Your review brings so much joy to all of us here at Asheville Wellness Tours, David. Thank you for the kind words and for your appreciation and openness to the transformative potential of the forest. We look forward to connecting with you again the next time the forest beckons.
Until the next (secretly transformative) adventure,
