Germaine's Luau

Overview

The highlight of the show is the Samoan Fire-knife dance, known as the "Tooth of Death". In the original interpretation, this dance was performed with a dangerously sharp blade.

The story behind the dance is of a Samoan chief making a movie for Hollywood many years ago. He decided to include the flaming torch in his part to make the dance more spectacular.

The show also includes the energetic Samoan Slap Dance, a traditional display of male prowess. True to the name, the dancers slap their chests, arms and legs repeatedly throughout this segment. For Samoan men, this was an opportunity to demonstrate their bravery and courage.

All Events and times are weather permitting and are subject to change without notice
Wheelchair accessible - collapsible wheelchairs preferred
Most surfaces are wheelchair accessible, since we do have ramps to the Bar, the Restrooms, and the Ohana Gift Shop, and outside surfaces of the luau have harder sand
Motorized wheelchairs are allowed in most areas, however, Germaine's Luau will not be responsible for any damages to the electric mechanism for the chair due to sand, as our luau is on a private beachfront property.

Delicious food and wonderful dance show. Very interactive experience. Our family learned some hula steps. And the scenery by the ocean is spectacular!

There are so many ways this luau could improve. It was so unauthentic the American voice of the owner. The food wasn’t enjoyed by any of our group of 7. The “cocktails” were not pleasant tasting and not many option's. Not enough Hawaiian culture very Americanised/ Vegas type lights. The Hawaiian dancers were very talented but unfortunately could not redeem the whole experience. Bummed we chose this at nearly $200usd a head. Definitely not worth it.
