Giant Redwoods Tour Including a 4-Course Winery Lunch

Overview

The day begins at the magnificent Armstrong Redwoods State Natural Reserve with a walk among trees that soar 300 feet in the sky. This is an unparalleled chance to experience trees that have been around for 1500 years. We purposefully choose NOT to go to the more known Muir Woods, which is overrun with crowds and prevents our guests from fully enjoying the majesty of the Redwoods. Instead, we go to Armstrong Woods, which has older and taller trees, and far less crowds.

We then move on to Kendall-Jackson winery and culinary garden where the farm-to-table culinary movement is in full bloom as we tour through the gardens that are the source of vegetables for California’s most prestigious restaurants.

Once we’ve seen the incredible offering of the culinary garden, Kendall Jackson’s award-winning chefs will prepare a four-course lunch paired with some of the winery's finest offerings. The menu changes with the seasons depending on the freshest offerings from the garden.

Wonderful Tour! Our guide, Phil, made the experience memorable. Interesting information on San Francisco and surrounding areas, great music and great company. The wine pairing and lunch at Kendall-Jackson was fantastic! Would recommend this excursion, well worth the money.

I originally booked a trip to Giant Redwoods with rides to Sausalito and Coastline but it was cancelled due to few people signing up on that day. Offered this trip or refund. I went for it and boy it is an excellent experience despite the hot day !! First stop to see the Golden Gate bridge from afar was exhilarating. Next stop to Armstrong Woods Nature Reserve was was such an excellent experience to walk among the tall trees. It was peaceful and barely any crowd. Final stop to Kendall-Jackson Winery for lunch with each dish paired with a tasting wine and it was great !! I even bought a couple of bottles for my friends in Portland. I glad that I took up the offer. Phil who is the guide/driver was simply exceptional and provided us with information throughout the trip. I would highly recommend Best Bay Area Tours for anyone visiting the "yay" area.

I did 3 tours while on vacation in San Fran, and this by far was the best!!! The place they take you to see the redwoods is great. It wasn't crowded with tourist and allowed you to take your time while walking through the woods. The Kendall Jackson winery is amazing and very accommodating. When we were there they moved us inside for our lunch because it got up to 111 degrees. The food and wine pairing were spot on. Would highly recommend!
