Weight limit is 290 lbs per seat (and a combined max of 600 lbs for 3 passengers).

What To Expect

Alpine Air Alaska

Your tour starts at our hangar at the Girdwood airport where you will receive a short safety briefing and board the helicopter for your flight to see spectacular glaciers and mountains. We ask all guests to arrive 15 minutes before your tour departure time.

Chugach National Forest

Fly over the glaciers and mountains of Alaska's Chugach range.

Girdwood

We are located in the scenic ski resort town of Girdwood, located about 40 miles south of Anchorage, Alaska. While in Girdwood, check out the great hiking trails and visit the Resort Alyeska after your flight with us!

On our visit to Anchorage we booked this tour as we read the positive reviews and wanted to see the glaciers close up. To start with, Girdwood is about 45 minutes from Anchorage along the scenic Seward Highway. Upon are arrival we were met by the staff and given a safety briefing. The staff were very friendly and knowledgeable of the area. We then met Adam our pilot for the tour who made us feel welcome. The helicopter we used comfortably sits 3 and the pilot. Adam took us to 20 mile Glacier which we landed on. Words cannot describe this beauty that you now see up close. You will not get this experience on a cruise! Adam then flew us around pointing out different areas of interest including wildlife. If your visiting the area, we highly recommend it as it is a one in a lifetime adventure.

incredible views. words cannot describe this experience. literally took my breath away twice. the earth is a beautiful place, and this place is the most amazing place i've visited. So vast and so far from other human life for a few minutes. Helicopter pilot was very knowledgeable but didn't say too much that it took away from the experience, the views were the main thing, we saw moose, bear and cubs and some others I can't remember exactly. just amazing, do it.

I’ve been all over the world and have done many excursions as you could imagine. I showed up in Alaska with very little expectations, just wanted to tour the country in a car and explore the great outdoors. This helicopter tour was so well orchestrated, with the sweetest people running the company. I had an amazing time flying out through the mountains, finding animals along the way and landing on a glacier. It wasn’t just the tour that made it special it was the way they treated you at Alpine. I would recommend this tour and working with this company to everyone. A once in a lifetime experience!
