First time on a helicopter for myself and two teens. Went to Spencer Glacier on April 2 and the nearby areas. Fantastic pilot talking enough to inform us but not overly so so we could ask questions. Amazing to see everything from overhead. My primary purpose was the glacier visit and I was impressed. We landed beside rather than on top due to weather, but impressive regardless. Wear boots as snow can be really deep in the area. Found myself waist deep a few times (6'1", 200lbs). Trip almost got canceled entirely due to wind. Original reservation was for day before, so if planning on this excursion, I recommend building in some padding afterward just in case you need to do some rescheduling.

It was the first my wife and I went in a helicopter and man what an experience! We were a bit nervous at first but the staff took their time to go over safety information before our flight. The pilot Scott was fun and professional and he kept us engaged the whole way pointing out facts about things we saw. He even recommended a few places around the area for my wife and I see on our ride back to Anchorage which further contributed to our Alaska trip overall. After a beautiful ride to glacier, Scott circled overhead to look for the perfect spot to land. Standing on the glacier in complete silence was something indescribable. You could hear the ice around the glacier cracking which reminded us of the power of nature. We can’t wait to come back in the summer when all the snow is melted and glacier is fully exposed.

Absolutely worth it! There's nothing like seeing the glaciers yourself and getting to walk up to them and touch them was something extra special. The pilot was very informative and the staff was excellent. We opted with a van ride from Alyeska which made the experience stress free.
