The Grand Canyon Rim Hike is one of the best hikes in Yellowstone National Park. This hiking tour is a loop. Your tour guide will watch for bears and answer your questions.
Not only do we hike along the Rim of the Canyon, but also through the forest to lakes, mud pots, and meadows.
Your guide knows the trail and trail junctions, where many hikers get confused. Your guide also knows the good spots to stop for photos, resting, and lunch with a view.

What To Expect

Grand Canyon of the Yellowstone

Your expert guide will meet you at the Pavilion next to the Upper Falls Parking Area at 8AM. This is also the staring point for Uncle Tom's Trail. The hike is a 6-mile loop. The hike is along the Canyon Rim, through the forest out to Ribbon Lake, and then past a geyser basin, Clear Lake, and the Wapiti Meadows with big views of the Hayden Valley. If you hike one trail in Yellowstone this is it!

This hike was everything I could have dreamed of! If you're going to Yellowstone do yourself a favor and see Yellowstone at a more in-depth view. I really wanted our family to experience something more scenic and more 'in the woods' so to speak than doing the scenic stops along the way. Emily Jo was an incredible guide - 5-stars just isn't enough. The hike is incredibly rewarding, the views are just breathtaking and it's not a strenuous hike - you get plenty of stops along the way. I would really do any of the hikes she has to offer. Our 8 year old LOVED this hike and it was just the perfect amount of distance! This hike/journey really made our trip that much more memorable.

The second and last tour for our Yellowstone adventure, the rim and loop hike proved to be a spectacular event. The highlighted spots were carefully plotted, the lunch was thoughtful and more than filling. Finally, It was wonderful to watch Josh (our guide) monitor and interact with several minors in our large group. We were all tantalized with living Science and the ‘awe’ of our wonderful planet.
