What ever you do don't make the mistake of thinking this is just an ordinary train ride to the Grand Canyon. This is two hours of play away on rails for kids or people who like being treated like a 10 year old.I couldn't drive because of snow so climbed aboard the train and spent the next 2 hours with some old gobshxt shouting down a microphone about god knows what,I even paid an extra 43 dollars on the return trip on an upgrade to get a bit of peace.Oh and on the trip back to Williams the train stops to let a bunch of cowboys on to act out a robbery of the passengers which I found rather ironic as I'd had already been robbed for real by the railway company with its exorbitant rail prices.

The train takes approx 2 hours each way to get from Williams to the Grand Canyon. It is definitely worth it. Amber Rose was a real hoot and has a real talent in comedy and wit!!! Our entertainment for the ride was Buckshot the fiddle player and Nick Ty Kuhn were AMAZING!!!! Very talented! Unfortunately we travelled to Williams during the 100 year snowstorm of 23 inches of snow so the visibility of the Grand Canyon was minimal.

My wife and I booked coach on the train. The seats in coach where comfortable enough(think old school bus seats(padded with no adjustments, but with more leg room)). The ride was 2.25 hours each way. The windows on the train in coach where large and sufficient to the point that we didn't feel that we missed anything. The first class is more along the lines of an airplane seat with a flip down tray. The next upgrade from there certainly has more comfortable seats that you can move to face each other, but I heard people complaining about that lack of leg room. We absolutely enjoyed our experience, and would love to do it again!
