My husband and I were celebrating our 20 year anniversary and loved every minute of our Grand Canyon Railway ride. However, we stayed at the Westin in Scottsdale and didn't account for road construction in our almost 3 hour drive to Williams, AZ to catch train. Thankfully, we arrived at 10:26 and made the 10:30 departure just in time! The staff--special thanks to Christina--was very friendly and accommodating/entertaining. We plan to take our 4 kids to experience. Highly recommend the "dome" seats for better views on upper level of train and photos were great keepsakes! Bring extra cash for tipping musicians and cowboys that "rob" you at end of ride. Also recommend seeing the Grand Canyon via "Grand Tour" with lunch--friendly bus driver with trivia facts along 3-4 stops with unforgettable views of south rim. And bus tour guarantees you won't be late for train departure back to Williams!

Booked a 2 night package starting in Williams, Luxury Train and Lodge inside the Park. Grand Canyon Railway Hotel was very nice, 2 double connecting rooms. Get up early for breakfast and the shoot out before boarding. Spend the extra for luxury class. Gets you full access to every car. The sodas and snack were excellent and Donald makes a great Bloody Mary. Once at the Canyon, Freedom Bus tour made 2 stops for some fantastic picture opportunities. Maswik lodge was super convenient to get around the park and the Cafe. Get up early and head out for Sunrise...you will not want to miss that.!! Champagne toast exiting the park on the train was a nice touch. Have some extra cash because you will get ‘robbed’ on the train on the way back...:)

What a way to travel to the epic Grand Canyon! Williams Arizona is a beautiful place with really firendly locals. We travelled in the ‘Pullman’ cart on the train to the epic Grand Canyon. My first visit, but hopefully not the last. Our host on the train was LauraLou, she was fab. Very welcoming and informative. The train ride also had entertainment. Would definitley recommend a trip with the Grand Canyon Railway
