Only a two hour drive from Las Vegas, Laughlin and Lake Havasu, the West Rim provides guests with an opportunity to experience the awe-inspiring canyon from many different perspectives. Walk the glass panels on the Skywalk and take in the epic views at Guano Point and Eagle Point plus an array of other activities. Please Note: This is an admission ticket only and transportation from surrounding cities is not included.

What To Expect

Grand Canyon West

Make your pwn way to the West Rim where guests are provided an opportunity to experience the awe-inspiring canyon from many different perspectives. Please Note: Last ticket is sold at 4:45 p.m. from March to November and varies as days get longer or shorter going into and out of the summer. Please be aware that Arizona does not observe Daylight Saving Time. Thus, during the winter months, Grand Canyon West is on Mountain Standard Time and is a full hour ahead of California and Nevada, which are on Pacific Standard Time. When DST is being observed, beginning in March, the time at Grand Canyon West is the same as the time in Las Vegas and California.

Grand Canyon Skywalk

This 10-foot wide, horseshoe-shaped glass bridge extends 70 feet out over the rim of the Grand Canyon. Look down and you can see right through the glass platform 4,000 feet to the floor of the Canyon below. This engineering marvel offers unparalleled views of one of the world’s Seven Natural Wonders. Nervous about walking on glass almost a mile above the floor of the Grand Canyon? Have no fear—the Skywalk is strong enough to hold seventy fully loaded 747 passenger jets. After walking the Sky visit the Skywalk Gift Shop and pick up souvenirs to remember your walk and the grandeur of the Canyon.

Absolutely stunning views rescue this trip, but the Hualupai milk their monopoly mercilessly and stupidly. It should be easy to put on enough buses to minimise queues, but they don’t, so you can stand for ages in the heat, and the whole layout of the operation, particularly at the entry station, seems designed to herd the unsuspecting traveller to a point of no return. After that, every stage is either closed, or offers terrible food and expensive drinks, served by people who apparently wish they weren’t there. The whole place seems to be an employment scheme for the few Hualupai who lack the gumption to leave the reservation. It could be amazing, and it really is unmissable, but my goodness they try to ruin it for you. More than anything, they need to pretend they have some competition and start trying a bit harder: they could treble their throughput and keep everyone happy. Don’t hold your breath. Still, at least my daughters now understand why monopolies are bad.

The bus driver was fun and informative very helpful every thing went quick the view was spectacular awesome experience all the way around
