What To Expect

Grand Canyon West

Make your pwn way to the West Rim where guests are provided an opportunity to experience the awe-inspiring canyon from many different perspectives. Please Note: Last ticket is sold at 4:45 p.m. from March to November and varies as days get longer or shorter going into and out of the summer. Please be aware that Arizona does not observe Daylight Saving Time. Thus, during the winter months, Grand Canyon West is on Mountain Standard Time and is a full hour ahead of California and Nevada, which are on Pacific Standard Time. When DST is being observed, beginning in March, the time at Grand Canyon West is the same as the time in Las Vegas and California.

Grand Canyon Skywalk

This 10-foot wide, horseshoe-shaped glass bridge extends 70 feet out over the rim of the Grand Canyon. Look down and you can see right through the glass platform 4,000 feet to the floor of the Canyon below. This engineering marvel offers unparalleled views of one of the world’s Seven Natural Wonders. Nervous about walking on glass almost a mile above the floor of the Grand Canyon? Have no fear—the Skywalk is strong enough to hold seventy fully loaded 747 passenger jets. After walking the Sky visit the Skywalk Gift Shop and pick up souvenirs to remember your walk and the grandeur of the Canyon.

Our flight the day before was delayed 6 hours. Then at 4am when we were supposed to board the flight was cancelled. I contacted them as soon as possible but no refund $208 down the tube! Never went, never will.

Terrible experience as we can’t take our own picture / make videos with our phone and “need” to buy pics from photographer that also doesn’t know how to take a good pictures. I won’t recommend for anyone to go there since we went to South Grand Canyon one day later and was PERFECT experience, no one “stole “our money . Our pics were much better in the restaurant view than from unprofessional photographer. We are veryyy disappointed with Grand Canyon West and “famous” skywalk that you have time limit to visit👍 my tip: don’t go to west Grand Canyon, spend two days in South grand canyon ! Much more to explore and vehicle permit for $35 to 7 days 👍

Before purchasing a ticket I inquired at the information booth about hiking down to the Colorado river similar to the south rim. Joseph (at the information booth) assured me that we would be able to hike down to the river. The "tour" provides you a 5 minute ride to a viewpoint of the canyon. There is a small path to see the view but there is no hiking down the canyon. This is 100% the opposite of what i was promised. Upon return to the office, I discussed this with Joseph (he completely recanted his story). While any view of the grand canyon is very nice, it is not worth the money paid here. If I knew there was no hiking i would have gone to another area like the south rim (much better views and actual hiking). THESE PEOPLE WERE COMPLETLEY DISHONEST.
