Half Day Grand Teton Wildlife Safari Tour

Overview
Explore the National Elk Refuge, home to thousands of wintering elk, hundreds of bison, bighorn sheep and an array of bird life before venturing into Grand Teton National Park. Jackson Hole’s wintering wildlife is abundant with opportunities to see bison, elk, deer, moose, fox, coyote, bald eagle, trumpeter swans, and if we’re lucky, wolves. If time allows we might also choose to stop at the Jackson Hole Visitor Center or the new Moose visitor center in Grand Teton National Park. The route varies seasonally based on group interest, road closures and wildlife migration.

This was the recommended organization to use for guided tours and I'm so glad we followed the advice! Bill, our guide, was very professional, early to pick us up, seemed just as excited to be on the tour as we were (even though he's done it a gaziliion times) and so informative. It was such an educational experience and we are so glad we did this and not tried to go out on our own for our first time to Grand Tetons. You want to be sure who you're using for tours in this area is reputable, we heard from others using other organizations that did not have the same wonderful experience we did. Very professional group!

We had a fabulous time on our tour. Our guide was extremely knowledgeable and excited to help us locate wildlife during our half day excursion. It was amazing to see the animals in their natural habitat and view the majestic beauty of the Grand Tetons. It's important to note that you're in the car for a majority of the tour. That being said, the vehicle was clean and well stocked with binoculars and yummy treats. It was fantastic to be picked up and dropped off right at the hotel. I highly recommend this tour.

Barry was our guide and all I can say is WOW! We went at 7am. The vehicle was very comfortable and we had our own personal caddy with snacks, stainless steel water bottles (that we got to keep) and binoculars! We saw fox, moose, black bear, elk, an eagle, blue heron, a falcon and pronghorn! Among other interesting things, he pointed out an historic Catholic Chapel and we also stopped at Jenny Lake. He was incredibly informative and could spot wildlife so well!! He used a scope to help us see them and take pictures. It was a wonderful experience and well worth it!
