Overview

Explore the National Elk Refuge, home to thousands of wintering elk, hundreds of bison, bighorn sheep and an array of bird life before venturing into Grand Teton National Park. Jackson Hole’s wintering wildlife is abundant with opportunities to see bison, elk, deer, moose, fox, coyote, bald eagle, trumpeter swans, and if we’re lucky, wolves. If time allows we might also choose to stop at the Jackson Hole Visitor Center or the new Moose visitor center in Grand Teton National Park. The route varies seasonally based on group interest, road closures and wildlife migration.

The minimum age for wildlife safaris is 8 years old. (Private safaris have no age minimum.)
We have a 48-hour cancellation policy for all single day wildlife safaris. Cancellations made before the cancellation policy goes into effect will receive a full refund. Cancellations made within 48 hours of departure, and before the day of departure will receive a 50% refund. Cancellations or no-shows on the day of departure will not be refunded. We strongly recommend travel insurance in order to protect you from unforeseen travel interruptions that prevent you from joining us.

Your wildlife safari may stop here. Your guide will educate you on the historical or geological significance of your stop. All stops are dependent on the road conditions, weather conditions and needs or interests of each group.

What a great tour! We saw moose, bison, pronghorns, bluebirds, ground squirrels, and beautiful wildflowers. The guide was incredibly knowledgeable about plants, animals, and geological formations, and he was quick to point out a variety of photo opportunities. He suggested activities for the rest of our trip, all of which were wonderful.

Unbelievable! Beautiful vistas and just a complete education in the wildlife and fauna of the area. McKenzie worked very hard for us to have a FANTASTIC experience. Would book this again!

Our guide Jody was absolutely fantastic! I really appreciated how he looked after my mom and his passion for the land. Got to see Bisons up close and the view of the Tetons was spectacular. Thanks Jody!
