Half Day Grand Teton Wildlife Safari Tour

Overview
Explore the National Elk Refuge, home to thousands of wintering elk, hundreds of bison, bighorn sheep and an array of bird life before venturing into Grand Teton National Park. Jackson Hole’s wintering wildlife is abundant with opportunities to see bison, elk, deer, moose, fox, coyote, bald eagle, trumpeter swans, and if we’re lucky, wolves. If time allows we might also choose to stop at the Jackson Hole Visitor Center or the new Moose visitor center in Grand Teton National Park. The route varies seasonally based on group interest, road closures and wildlife migration.

Yes! We saw all of those animals this morning with our awesome and oh so knowledgeable guide Grant. He brought us all over Jackson Hole area, pointing out key things to see, giving us the history of the area (fascinating), pulling over so we could get out and take closer pics of the various animals. His spotting scope makes you feel the animal is 2 ft away. Our 12 & 14 yr old daughters were completely into it, at one point mouthing to me “this is so cool!”, and it was. Grant was so nice, polite, personable and patient. Thoroughly enjoyed our time with him seeing all the beauty and life in the Tetons. Do yourself and your family a favor and sign up for a safari today! You won’t be disappointed.

My wife and were visiting Jackson briefly, and wanted to find a reasonably-priced tour. We've been to Jackson several times before, but haven't had a chance to do much exploring in the winter time. Our guide Julie picked us up at our hotel right on time, we stopped at a local food & convenience mart to pick out our choice for the included-breakfast, then we were on our way. The weather was finicky and very windy, but I'm pretty sure we saw as much or more wildlife in our half day than we've seen on most trips (wish I'd brought a better camera). Julie knows where to go and how to look, and you'll get a look both with the included-for-your-tour binoculars, and a standalone scope she set up for us to get even closer looks. Bonus? Nice insulated water bottles to take away. Would definitely recommend!

This was an awesome experience! Julie was an incredible tour guide, and came prepared with an arsenal of knowledge and enthusiasm. Her passion for nature and wildlife was unparalleled. Julie took us to see deer, bald eagles, moose, elk, bison, big horn sheep, ravens, and cows. This was the highlight of our Jackson Hole experience, and we would recommend this tour to everyone. Thanks for the best day, Julie!
