Half Day Snorkel Trip on Reefs in the Florida Keys

Overview
Come join us snorkeling some of the most beautiful reefs within the Florida Keys National Marine Sanctuary and Pennekamp State Park. We have many possible reefs to explore: Molasses, Elbow, French Reef and the famous Christ of the Abyss on Dry Rocks. These protected areas offer an opportunity to see turtles, spotted eagle rays, moray eels and a variety of different fish. These special reefs are part of the 3rd largest living reef system in the world and the ONLY living coral reef in the US. We stop at two different locations on the reef. Each stop is determined by the captain based on the day's conditions. We cannot guarantee any specific site.

In an effort to reduce the amount of single-use plastic that ends up in our oceans, we recommend bringing a reusable water bottle. We have water coolers in our shop and on our boats for your convenience!

First time in Key Largo! I booked a half day snorkeling trip in Key Largo with Captain Brad and Brandon. They were hilarious! My family and I had such a great experience from the beginning to the end. We went to two different snorkeling sites at John Pennekamp Coral Reef State Park. The first site we saw the Jesus (Christ of the Abyss) statue. The statue was amazing and the story behind was interesting too! Thereā€™s only 3 in the world and this is one of it! Although there werenā€™t lots of corals around the statue, they did have plenty of jellyfishes. Yes, I got stung but I survived! Yes, it burned but it didnā€™t stop me from going to the second snorkeling site where there were lots of corals. Captain Brad and Brandon made the entire experience fun for my family. I would definitely recommend to try them out! Here are some tips: 1) Pirates Cove Watersports is located inside the Reefhouse Resort 2) Bring your own towels 3) Bring your own drinks, they have a cooler for to store it. They do provide cold water from a water cooler 4) Donā€™t use your own sunscreen, please use their special sunscreen lotion so it doesnā€™t harm the corals 5) Use the bathroom before you board. Thereā€™s an emergency on on board but itā€™s only for emergencies Enjoy!!!

Crew was fantastic and gave great directions on where to snorkel. We felt very safe and noted their professional commitment to our protection. And they did it all with great humor.
