What a marvelous way to see Harlem. We had a great morning and learned so much about Harlem - the beautiful buildings, the history, the culture. We would highly recommend this tour and encourage everyone to go and see Harlem and experience the neighborhood. We had perfect weather and the church and singing was perfect. It was everything we expected and more...

I would say for me the most memorable experience was all of it. The church service was the highlight of my day, because when have been without a indoor church service for 16months. The tour guide Ms. Carolyn was knowledgeable, kind and inclusive. She really knows and understands Harlem- she made everyone feel comfortable. Our group was small, but very loving and connected. This was a nice tour. She even took us to different stores in the community so that we could shop. 5 stars for sure!!!

We did the tour on Sunday Feb 2nd with Carolyn. We were just a small group which was great. Carolyn was amazing, she was friendly and her knowledge was outstanding, we learnt so much and it was so interesting. We met Franco the Great who has transformed Harlem’s streets with his amazing artwork. The Apollo Theatre was awesome, it’s a shame we couldn’t go inside (this would be worth paying for). The Gospel choir were great but we would have preferred more singing than seeing the ‘information’ parts of the service. We were waiting for 2 people at the start of the tour so maybe if they had turned up we would have made it to the church earlier to see more of the gospel. The brunch was good at a Mediterranean restaurant, not really the ‘soul food’ we were expecting however it was really good. There are cheaper tours of Harlem but I would definitely 100% recommend this one with Carolyn as you get what you pay for and the smaller groups make it much more enjoyable. Thank you Carolyn.
