We recently did the Harlem Gospel and Brunch tour. It was a small group of six, which allowed for a more personal tour experience. The tour was very educational and informative. Carolyn, our tour guide, also made it fun. We attended a gospel church service, which was uplifting and energetic. The brunch was at a Middle Eastern restaurant and the food was very good.

We loved this activity. Our tour guide, a Harlem resident, was excellent. She was very knowledgeable about the multi ethnic population of Harlem both past and present. The brunch was in a well chosen and delicious restaurant; the group was congenial. We definitely recommend this.

Carolyn, our guide (and "diamond in the rough") lead us on a tour of Harlem past, of Harlem present, and of Harlem future with care, diplomacy, multi-cultural sensitivity, plus the unique knowledge and insight, that only a true "local" is capable of providing. A must activity for anyone interested in the history of New York not to mention that of the USA. You can't have one without the other.
