This was one of our favorite adventures while vacationing on Kauai!! The guide was very knowledgeable about Kauai and provided a lot of interesting facts/history on the island and the wildlife as we commuted from Poipu Beach to the river. Once we arrived, we had a scenic view (good opportunity for pictures on the water if you have a waterproof phone/camera or not worried about turning the kayak over) as we kayaked the river for about 2.5 miles. The hike was a relatively easy but scenic one that took about 30 minutes to get to the waterfall. The waterfall area was gorgeous and provided some great pictures and memories. We had about 45 minutes once we made it to the falls to take pictures, swim, etc before beginning our hike back. Be prepared for a fairly long day as we departed early and got back to Poipu around 3PM but it was well worth it. I highly recommend this adventure!

This was nice, was expecting more than 1 small waterfall, and a swing rope - Was told , ,Due to heavy rain the day before.told we were lucky to see the waterfall. It all seemed a bit rushed. The Kayaking was great and had lots of laughs. Lunch and snacks were plentiful. The two guides for the day, they were great and very informative.

My wife and I visited Kauai on our honeymoon in September and enjoyed the island immensely for its outdoor adventure opportunities. We were happy to have used the services of Outfitters Kauai during our stay in Poipu. We went on their half day, 2 hours kayak trip. Our guide, Mathias, was very knowledgeable about the island and a good kayak instructor. We had both never kayaked and under his instruction we got it down and were quickly leading the group. Mathias was quick to point out different facts along the way and engage the tour group. We enjoyed lunch at a beautiful setting along the river accompanied by the main residents of Kauai, chickens. Mathias was also a great resource for local tips. He recommended a secluded, local beach around Poipu that we wouldn't have otherwise known about. We went to the beach in the mid afternoon on a weekday and were the only ones there until 5 pm when I assume the locals were breaking off for the day. He also recommended good places for food in Poipu such as Da Crack right by the K.O. office. I highly recommend them!
