Kevin was an awesome guide. He explained everything in detail and was very entertaining. He enacted the period and took you back in time. While the exhibit is small it packs a lot of things to see and read and touch. It gives you an insight as to what these soldiers and doctors had to deal with and how the Spanish were ahead of their time in the procedures of medicine as to promote cleanliness of the instruments.

We wandered in to this museum waiting for a trolley and got such a cool tour! Nick was dressed in period clothing and boy did he know his stuff. If he went back in time he could be a Doctor. The building is the original hospital building and outfitted with all the old instruments it would have had In it. Right down to a herb garden for the apothecary. Kids would be enthralled by this place, and adults learn so much. Go if your in St Augustine.

the place takes you back in time, and the tour guide had a lot of information! It's amazing the things the sick and wounded had to go through back then, but whats more amazing is the way the medical staff and surgeons took care of the people! The spanish people realized that keeping things clean helped with getting people healther! over all wonderful tour and very informative!
