Avoid the crowds & get a more personalized experience on our 6 passenger boat. During this tour we can visit either the northern manta site near the Kona airport, or venture further south to Keauhou depending on where the best manta sightings have been. Our expert captains and dedicated guides are pulling out all the stops to make sure you get the best viewing possible.

Prior swimming & snorkeling experience is required to book this activity. Guest's must be able to independently climb up a side boat ladder. Not recommended for guest's who have undergone surgery or have mobility/physical restrictions. Contact tour operator for exceptions.

Our Manta Policy: Manta Rays are wild animals and Hawaii Island and Ocean Tours cannot guarantee their presence. If a manta ray is not seen on your night out with us you may try again on a different night, or on your next visit. Guests who purchased tickets at our full online booking price may come back out again for free. Tickets purchased through a 3rd party (such as TripAdvisor/Viator/Expedia...etc) or at a discounted rate may join again for an additional $30 per person. Please keep in mind that seats may be extremely limited during certain times of the year. We usually are very successful in finding mantas for you; however if they decide to take the night off the costs involved with setting up the charter will not allow us to offer you a refund. We appreciate your business and understanding of this policy.

This is a must do! We did this on our first night in Kona and started our vacation off with a bang! I would highly recommend this tour!

We were so close! They swam within inches! I expected to see them swimming by down below but they were doing cartwheels right next to me! So huge, so graceful, so willing to allow me in their world. I wasn’t aware that my camera was on but not videoing, but I will never forget the images so thats not so tragic. Our captain and assistant prepared us well so it was perfect. I was not afraid, even though the huge mouths coming toward me could have inhaled a watermelon. They were so beautiful! Nobody else in my travel group wanted to go but I went anyway and I’M SO GLAD I DID!

Absolutely amazing. Would recommend to anyone even slightly interested in doing this unforgettable experience. Crew were great and very helpful. Wish it was longer but still got to see plenty of Mantas during our time out. 10/10!
