During this tour we can visit either the northern manta site near the Kona airport, or venture further south to Keauhou depending on where the best manta sightings have been. Our expert captains and dedicated guides are pulling out all the stops to make sure you get the best viewing possible.

Prior swimming & snorkeling experience is required to book this activity. Guest's must be able to independently climb up a side boat ladder. Not recommended for guest's who have undergone surgery or have mobility/physical restrictions. Contact tour operator for exceptions.

Our Manta Policy: Manta Rays are wild animals and Hawaii Island and Ocean Tours cannot guarantee their presence. If a manta ray is not seen on your night out with us you may try again on a different night, or on your next visit. Guests who purchased tickets at our full online booking price may come back out again for free. Tickets purchased through a 3rd party (such as TripAdvisor/Viator/Expedia...etc) or at a discounted rate may join again for an additional $30 per person. Please keep in mind that seats may be extremely limited during certain times of the year. We usually are very successful in finding mantas for you; however if they decide to take the night off the costs involved with setting up the charter will not allow us to offer you a refund. We appreciate your business and understanding of this policy.

Friendly and welcoming captain John and manta ray snorkel guide Zach were knowledgeable and safe. Made us feel at home and explained each step. Easy boat ride, clean gear- everything provided. THE MANTA RAYS ARE MAJESTIC! huge and graceful and too many to count. This exceeded our expectations. You must do this tour!

We had a great overall experience. I loved the small group set up, we had 6 in the group. The person in the water was very knowledgeable and helpful. We had close encounters with 7 manarays. These gentle giants come right up, brushing against you with each swoop for food. I highly recommend this experience.

Staff on the boat (Dylan) and Eli in the water were okay but not overly friendly. This trip is only 30 mins in the water, one of the shorter trips provided compared to other companies. The good thing is that with only 6 ppl Eli does tell you the names of the Manta's and facts as you're in the water. We saw 5 Manta's at one time so it was awesome.
