During this tour we can visit either the northern manta site near the Kona airport, or venture further south to Keauhou depending on where the best manta sightings have been. Our expert captains and dedicated guides are pulling out all the stops to make sure you get the best viewing possible.

Prior swimming & snorkeling experience is required to book this activity. Guest's must be able to independently climb up a side boat ladder. Not recommended for guest's who have undergone surgery or have mobility/physical restrictions. Contact tour operator for exceptions.

Our Manta Policy: Manta Rays are wild animals and Hawaii Island and Ocean Tours cannot guarantee their presence. If a manta ray is not seen on your night out with us you may try again on a different night, or on your next visit. Guests who purchased tickets at our full online booking price may come back out again for free. Tickets purchased through a 3rd party (such as TripAdvisor/Viator/Expedia...etc) or at a discounted rate may join again for an additional $30 per person. Please keep in mind that seats may be extremely limited during certain times of the year. We usually are very successful in finding mantas for you; however if they decide to take the night off the costs involved with setting up the charter will not allow us to offer you a refund. We appreciate your business and understanding of this policy.

What a great experience! Manta Rays were swimming so close, that they were touching us! We had 2 huge mantas, which were with us all the time, plus few others. The group was very small, normally up to 6 people, but it was only 4 of us, which was totally great. Other companies around had up to 16 ppl! The team was amazing, very informative and supportive. I am extremely scared of deep water, but I felt very safe and did not have any opportunity to panic :) We really enjoyed our manta ray snorkel.

Dylan and Kelly were welcoming and warm, making for a great excursion. They were both really clear with instructions, and it made the whole experience enjoyable. Kelly was knowledgeable about the manta rays when we were in the water and definitely seemed to know more than some of the other guides out there. We mainly saw one manta ray, and even got a bonus one as we were going back onto the boat. It was a really cool experience to see them feeding on the plankton so close to us. I had looked at a handful of other tours before booking this one, and am glad that I did. The hot chocolate and cookies afterward were a great touch. I had a couple questions about other touristy stuff, and they were kind enough to give me their thoughts and advice. Thanks, Dylan and Kelly!

This company and their employees are top notch. Enjoyed the experience so much that I went again the next day. The check in was easy, just look for the white van by the pier. Short boat ride to the spot. Saw at least 8 different rays with up to four feeding at one time. Been on multiple snorkeling excursion in many countries and this may be my favorite. Getting in and out of the boat was very controlled. Don't miss this opportunity to take this excursion with this great company.
