Overview

The 8 mile whitewater stretch through the Snake River Canyon takes you through mix of calm sections where you'll be able to take in the scenery and wildlife, and exciting rapids. On this smaller 8 man raft your paddling skills will be put to the test as your guide leads you into the big waves of Kahuna and Lunch Counter, so be prepared to paddle hard and have a blast getting soaked!
Guests 16 and over will be charged a $3 Bridger Teton National Forest User fee at check in.

You will be getting soaked on this trip. So wear items of clothes that are not made of cotton, synthetic clothes are best!

What To Expect

Dave Hansen Whitewater and Scenic River Trips

We are pretty confident that this 8-mile stretch of whitewater has the highest concentration of laughter in the state of Wyoming. With class II and III rapids such as The Lunch counter and The Big Kahuna, and even an underwater waterfall aptly named Champagne, this river will thrill and delight you. And with inspiring limestone cliffs, hills of Lodge pole Pine, and the mountain peak horizon of the Grey’s National Forest, the scenery will surely impress you. This is the moment in your vacation that you’ll write home to grandma about—that is, if she’s not already in the boat with you!

The trip was well organized from beginning to end. The guides are the best in the business. Our guide, Madden, was a Wyoming lifer with a great back story. There were plenty of wet suites of all sizes and shapes. We had a terrific adventure and they took some awesome pictures. The only thing I would recommend is an improvement to the changing areas at the end. Basically four walls and no stalls for privacy.

Highly recommend Dave Hansen's whitewater river trip. EJ was our guide and she was fantastic. She was knowledgable and funny. She kept us entertained the whole trip, pointing out wildlife and giving us fun facts about the area. The scenery was beautiful and the rapids were exciting. One of the highlights of our trip to Jackson Hole.
