No-bag policy. If you have medical needs that require a carry on, please note at time of booking. All bags brought to base will be stored in the tour office until you return from your flight
Dress warmly and in layers, and wear rubber-soled shoes such as a light hiking boot or athletic shoes. The tour company will provide overshoes and can supply raincoats as needed. Remember to bring your camera, film and binoculars!

ADA - We have an ADA lift that assists guests with getting in and out of the helicopter. If guests use the ADA lift, they will be required to stay inside the helicopter on the glacier. While on the glacier the pilot-guide will open the doors so guests can still take in the sights, sounds and smells. The ADA lift has a weight restriction of no more than 250 lbs. You MUST notify Coastal Helicopters if you will be requiring the ADA helicopter lift.

Our pilot, Michael, was so great! He had taken the time to really learn about all the types of glaciers, and he was able to educate all of the six passengers on our excursions about glaciers in a way that made sense and also was awe inspiring. He flew us in (we had gorgeous weather) to the Herbert Glacier. And we walked about, with his clear guidance, avoiding potential hazards and gaining first hand knowledge of the glacier. I can only say that as a pilot myself, I was SO impressed by both his piloting skills, And his information that I wish this had been an all day excursion instead of just a couple hours. Michael is the best. And you’ll be very fortunate if he’s your pilot! We even got to take a taste of fresh glacial waters and lean over to take awesome photos with his steadying balance. Thank you for a memory of a lifetime, Michael ! I wish that I was still there!

Usually hate the American overuse of the word awesome but I used it twice with passion on vacation in Alaska - once whale watching and again with Coastal helicopters when we landed on the glacier. Great friendly company, cool pilot and once in a life time trip A+++++++

We were on a Princess Cruise to Juneau but booked this tour through TripAdvisor to save money. The experience was amazing. The day we arrived into port several helicopter trips to the mendenhall glacier had been cancelled due to weather but with our booking and this company they were flexible with the weather. They went to the glacier where there was no bad weather. We weren't set on a certain glacier (the mendenhall is most popular but was overcast) so that was not a problem for us. This is well worth the money and I would choose Coastal to increase the odds of the the tour not cancelling. The employees were all great. They were waiting for us at the dock and were easy to find. The pilot was great and full of knowledge about the area.
