No-bag policy. If you have medical needs that require a carry on, please note at time of booking. All bags brought to base will be stored in the tour office until you return from your flight
Dress warmly and in layers, and wear rubber-soled shoes such as a light hiking boot or athletic shoes. The tour company will provide overshoes and can supply raincoats as needed. Remember to bring your camera, film and binoculars!

ADA - We have an ADA lift that assists guests with getting in and out of the helicopter. If guests use the ADA lift, they will be required to stay inside the helicopter on the glacier. While on the glacier the pilot-guide will open the doors so guests can still take in the sights, sounds and smells. The ADA lift has a weight restriction of no more than 250 lbs. You MUST notify Coastal Helicopters if you will be requiring the ADA helicopter lift.

I think the price is mainly for the helicopter. The view from helicopter’s beautiful. But the time spent on glacier was really short.

Thank you so much for your review! We allow 25-30 minutes on the glacier for our 1 hour total tour time. We are sorry you felt that you were rushed on the glacier. I hope you had a great time visiting Alaska!

When you are on a cruise you will more than likely make a trip thru Glacier Bay to see glaciers. But on this tour you are ON the glacier! It is a whole different prospective of this magnificent landscape. Our day was a bit rainy and dreary but the experience was definitely once in a lifetime. I do wish I had brought a small cup to use to drink some of the glacier water. There was one young girl in our group that was able to get down -and back up - and said the water had an amazing taste. I was afraid if I got down I’d never be able to get back up! Lol. They do provide heavy coats and boots for the adventure. The ice is the most beautiful blue and white. Indescribable- A must see!

Our family of six did this tour with Mitch from Coastal Helicopters and it was FABULOUS! We booked this through Shoretrips and everything was perfect from start to finish. We did a combo tour with whale watching & they picked us up there and brought us to the airfield. We boarded our helicopter and had the ride of a lifetime. We will never forget this and I highly recommend booking it.
