Dress warmly and in layers, and wear rubber-soled shoes such as a light hiking boot or athletic shoes. The tour company will provide overshoes and can supply raincoats as needed. Remember to bring your camera, film and binoculars!

ADA - We have an ADA lift that assists guests with getting in and out of the helicopter. If guests use the ADA lift, they will be required to stay inside the helicopter on the glacier. While on the glacier the pilot-guide will open the doors so guests can still take in the sights, sounds and smells. The ADA lift has a weight restriction of no more than 250 lbs. You MUST notify Coastal Helicopters if you will be requiring the ADA helicopter lift.

We had a 12:15 trip on 7/12/18. Our shuttle drive was polite and on time and was able to explain what to expect on the way to the airport. We were greeted nicely but the two staff at the check in counter had little personality and one never acknowledge guests. Prep time was simple and the ladies who assisted and explained our process was nice and thorough. The Helo was tight and a challenge to take photos from the rear seats. Our pilot Dan was professional and knowledgeable. It was a beautiful clear day so the view was incredible. The time on the glacier goes fast so make the most of it. We were there for maybe 25 min max. I thought our promo material stated 30 min so make sure you understand what you are paying for. This is a busy company with lots of trips so you could feel rushed as you take in the whole experience. The experience of being on the glacier was the highlight of our week long trip. Making ice angels was amazing.

Oh my gosh! Words cannot properly describe the view from the helicopter or the feeling of setting foot on a glacier ice field. This trip was unbelievable! You MUST do this!

We booked a flight sight seeing and glacier walk with Coastal on July 8 2018 with Coastal.Our group was four people my wife her sister and husband and myself.Instead two other people were jammed into our helicopter so we had 7 including the pilot.The oplane was manufactured to seat 4 people comfortably instead we had seven. The helicopter took over one hour later than what we were told by the booking agent we had to wait despite Coastal having helicopters on the ground,The seats in the helicopter were modified so as to enable Coastal to jam people into the helicopter so that 4 people sat in back where two people would normally sit.THere were so many people in the helicopter that the windows fogged up making picture taking even more impossible.Moreover the side windows weere retrofitted with black plastic inserts and barrs making it impossible for anyone sitting in the back to take photographs given that there were three peeple in the front where there was the only unobstructed window..So if you think your taking flight pictures on a coastal helicopter and sit inthe back forget about it.The ground customer service people were unfriendly and uncaring and only cared about getting paid and not interested in cusomer comfort and their flight experience.This helicopter tour was more uncomfortable than flying the middle seat in coach ona commerical airline that is full.Terrible experience not worth the money and uncaring customer service people avoid this company kevin Conboy flew july 8 2018

Thank you for your review, we appreciate all feedback to better assist our future customers. We fly Eurocopter AS350 (now Airbus) and are manufactured and configured to seat 6 passengers plus 1 pilot. These helicopters are used by multiple different flightseeing companies because of it's configuration and large windows. We do not alter the modification of any of our aircraft specifically when it pertains to the air frame and windows. We also provide external load operations and have special windows (approved for the air frame) to accommodate the pilot for efficiency and safety of external load operations. Our seating assignments are produced through our weight and balance program to ensure proper weight and balance of the aircraft. No different than commercial large and small airlines. If guests are concerned about others joining their group and "comfort" inside the aircraft there is always an option to purchase additional seats. Customer service, safety of our pilots and passengers is our top priority. I will be sure to share the customer service feedback with the team.
