Our general tour! Meet our Dock Rep at your cruise ship dock and board our courtesy shuttle. Enjoy a scenic ride to the Auke Bay boat harbor and return (about 25 minutes each way). A complimentary stop at the Brotherhood Bridge for a view of the Mendenhall Glacier is available before or after each tour depending on that day's schedule and weather. Enjoy the difference of a personalized tour! About 4 hours and 15 minutes. This 4 hour and 15 minute tour includes approximately 1 hour of round trip transfer time, 3 hours of whale watching/sightseeing cruise, walking on the dock to the boat, and bathroom breaks.

Having had an underwhelming whale watching trip in a large boat off Honolulu, we were keen to try a smaller boat while our cruise was docked in Juneau. Offering a half-day trip with a maximum of 18 people, Harv & Marv's looked like a good option. We were picked up at the cruise pier and taken to the boat by bus. After a high speed run to get out into the open water, the hunt for whales and other wildlife began in earnest. The captain Gabe and the on-board naturalist Regina were great, keeping us both informed and entertained. During the trip we saw bald eagles, ospreys, orcas, and many whales. Towards the end of our trip, we had the wonderful experience of a humpback surfacing only 10 metres off the stern of the boat, then rolling over and repeatedly slapping it's tail on the water. Everyone on board seemed to have a great time and to really enjoy the trip. For whale watching in Juneau, Harv & Marv's are highly recommended.

We took this tour kind of at the last minute due to a change in our plans. We were happy that they were able to get us on so quickly during a busy time. There was a little confusion about where to go, since we drove ourselves and there didn't seem to be any signs for the Harbormaster's office. Andrea met us at the dock and Captain Russell took us down to the boat before the rest of the group showed up. Captain Russell took us to several spots where we saw 7 or 8 Humpback whales, numerous eagles, sea lions and even some Dall's porpoises that came up to say hello to the boat. Andrea did a fantastic job keeping us informed on the wildlife and answering all sorts of questions. It was also a wonderful way to see the surrounding islands and other scenery we would have missed otherwise. We will definitely be taking the longer tour with them the next time we are in Juneau!

Terrific three hours with Captain Gabe and guide Audrea. Both are so knowledgeable. The small boat made it possible for everyone to be outside to view and photograph when whales were spotted. We saw lots of whales. You will not be disappointed when you book a trip with Harv & Marv's.
