What To Expect
1
Kenai Fjords National Park
In Kenai Fjords National Park, over half of the landmass is covered by the enormous Harding Icefield, a thousand-foot block of ice that dates back to the last Ice Age. The Harding spills out in all directions in the form of glaciers. Some stretch northwest into rugged hills of the Kenai Peninsula. Others—five of them, to be exact—reach as far as the sea along the craggy coast of the Gulf of Alaska.
2
Alaska Maritime National Wildlife Refuge
Alaska Maritime National Wildlife Refuge is comprised of 2,400 islands, headlands, rocks, islets, spires and reefs and is known for its abundance of seabirds.

Great trip, plenty of wild life but the highlight for me was unexpectedly seeing a pod of Orca's. For a long time I have wanted to see Orca's and this sighting topped off an allready amazing day.

We departed from Seward in dense fog, and hoped that it wouldn't continue for long. Within the hour, as we departed Resurrection Bay, the fog cleared and we were able to enjoy the amazing scenery and wildlife. The captain (Sherry, she was great) and the rest of the crew were very knowledgeable and were able to locate plenty of opportunities to enjoy and photograph the wildlife. We saw both species of puffins, terns, Steller sea lions, harbor seals, and rafts of sea otters. Once we rounded Aialik Point, we were able to view calving glaciers and harbor seals floating on chunks of ice. Then, on the way back to Seward, we spotted humpback whales, and a large pod of resident killer whales that came quite close to the boat. The boat was quite comfortable, with both indoor and outdoor seating, and a nice lunch was served (vegan option available) that is included in the ticket price. Other snacks and beverages are also available for purchase. This is one tour that delivers a value that far exceeds its cost.

We took the 6 hour tour for our 20 year wedding anniversary. It was magnificent. The tour was well organized, the crew was very friendly and attentive. The scenery were simply breathtaking! We truly enjoyed our experience and highly recommend it.
