What To Expect
1
Kenai Fjords National Park
In Kenai Fjords National Park, over half of the landmass is covered by the enormous Harding Icefield, a thousand-foot block of ice that dates back to the last Ice Age. The Harding spills out in all directions in the form of glaciers. Some stretch northwest into rugged hills of the Kenai Peninsula. Others—five of them, to be exact—reach as far as the sea along the craggy coast of the Gulf of Alaska.
2
Alaska Maritime National Wildlife Refuge
Alaska Maritime National Wildlife Refuge is comprised of 2,400 islands, headlands, rocks, islets, spires and reefs and is known for its abundance of seabirds.

Large number of humpback whales around us. Saw several breaches and bubble rings. Unbelievable day and it exceeded my expectations.

Most wonderful tour in Alaska. Everything beautiful in one tour and the food was great also. We saw whales, seals, otters, burd of all types, puffins, glacier up close.

This tour was pure joy from start to finish. The scenery itself is spectacular, but the whales, porpoises, and sea otters are even better, and best of all was when the crew let down a hydrophone into the water so that we could hear the orcas communicating with each other. The captain and crew were both knowledgeable and helpful, and they seemed to take as much delight as we did in seeing all that cool stuff. Arrive early to get a good seat on the boat, but it's big enough, with plenty of room to move around inside and out. Order a vegetarian lunch in advance if you need one.
