Welcoming guests to Kauai since 2007, Luau Kalamaku is Hawaii's only luau show performed “in-the-round,” offering optimal views of the stage. Witness the unearthing of the pig from the traditional imu (underground oven) and enjoy a hula lesson. A craft fair featuring unique items by local artisans awaits on the sprawling lawn. Feast on a delicious buffet of local and familiar favorites and enjoy a Mai Tai from the open bar. The 45-minute main show tells the amazing story of the ancient Hawaiian legend of Kalamaku “child of the new land." Through laughter, fear, seduction and fire, a new legacy is created, born from the cherished seeds of their ancestors. The theatrical luau show culminates with a fantastic fire dream featuring fire poi balls and traditional fire knife dancing.

The entertainment was exciting the food was not great but still good enough to go again. It’s about the show. Open bar was good. Everyone was friendly. If your able to do it upgrade to closer to the stage. I read reviews about some women not getting flower lei. From what I saw every woman did.

This is a wonderful Luau. We have been to it 4 times and have enjoyed it every time. There are local vendors around the show grounds that are also great for shopping at. There is a rum distillry that also has wonderful tastings at different times of the day. The show was great with fire dancers and all. The food was tasty.

Luau wasn’t great. Buffet wasn’t terrible I guess. A bit like golden coral. The main thing to avoid is the open bar. If you are a teenager with a rock gut, you might like it. It was the absolute cheapest tasting liquor on the planet. Theymade the drinks way too strong, which tasted terrible and the bartenders were rude. We both almost immediately felt sick after drinking what might’ve been Vladimir vodka or something cheaper. I think they spent $100 on the bar to serve 600 people. They just wanted to maximize profits which was disappointing after spending hundreds of dollars. The show was mediocre as well. Would not recommend!
