Overview

Welcoming guests to Kauai since 2007, Luau Kalamaku is Hawaii's only luau show performed “in-the-round,” offering optimal views of the stage. Witness the unearthing of the pig from the traditional imu (underground oven) and enjoy a hula lesson. A craft fair featuring unique items by local artisans awaits on the sprawling lawn. Feast on a delicious buffet of local and familiar favorites and enjoy a Mai Tai from the open bar. The 45-minute main show tells the amazing story of the ancient Hawaiian legend of Kalamaku “child of the new land." Through laughter, fear, seduction and fire, a new legacy is created, born from the cherished seeds of their ancestors. The theatrical luau show culminates with a fantastic fire dream featuring fire poi balls and traditional fire knife dancing.

I was so impressed with the outstanding displace that told a great story at the same time. The food and drinks were also great and unending/ Do not worry about the rain as the show and guest tables are all under the cover of a large open arena so you can see great from anywhere and for a small extra entry fee you can get up front vip seating

We had a great time, but watch out for the free drinks they were potent:) Entertainment was really good and the food was fine given the number of people they fed, We recommend it

when we arrived there were over a thousand people! this is a very commercial show and the food is very mediocre to terrible. We paid extra to have dinner at the manor house but it was only slightly better. If we ever get to Hawaii again we will find something less commercial and a little more authentic
