Overview

Welcoming guests to Kauai since 2007, Luau Kalamaku is Hawaii's only luau show performed “in-the-round,” offering optimal views of the stage. Witness the unearthing of the pig from the traditional imu (underground oven) and enjoy a hula lesson. A craft fair featuring unique items by local artisans awaits on the sprawling lawn. Feast on a delicious buffet of local and familiar favorites and enjoy a Mai Tai from the open bar. The 45-minute main show tells the amazing story of the ancient Hawaiian legend of Kalamaku “child of the new land." Through laughter, fear, seduction and fire, a new legacy is created, born from the cherished seeds of their ancestors. The theatrical luau show culminates with a fantastic fire dream featuring fire poi balls and traditional fire knife dancing.

Buffet food was decent bit ya don’t go to luaus for the food! Drinks were generous on alcohol. Storyline for main show was wonderful and really loved the pre-show musical entertainment.

The show was great! The whole production flowed incredibly smoothly. They picked us up on time in a nice, large bus. Drove us to the event. Started by taking professional photos, then there’s time to visit the open bars and look for souvenirs to buy. Next your table is called up to the buffet and the food was good! A lot of reviews said the food was so-so, but ours was good. Then the main show started and everyone in it nailed their roles. There’s a lot of pageantry behind the story they tell. Going to a luau was on the top of my priority list in Hawaii. This event was well worth it.
