Overview

Welcoming guests to Kauai since 2007, Luau Kalamaku is Hawaii's only luau show performed “in-the-round,” offering optimal views of the stage. Witness the unearthing of the pig from the traditional imu (underground oven) and enjoy a hula lesson. A craft fair featuring unique items by local artisans awaits on the sprawling lawn. Feast on a delicious buffet of local and familiar favorites and enjoy a Mai Tai from the open bar. The 45-minute main show tells the amazing story of the ancient Hawaiian legend of Kalamaku “child of the new land." Through laughter, fear, seduction and fire, a new legacy is created, born from the cherished seeds of their ancestors. The theatrical luau show culminates with a fantastic fire dream featuring fire poi balls and traditional fire knife dancing.

The performances and live music were outstanding. The circle in the round allowed this huge luau group to be able to enjoy the outstanding story of Hawaii via the beautiful costumes and fantastic dancers. It was a 10 out of 10 snd but to be missed. The buffet was very good with many choices, the drinks plentiful, the staff were very engaging and busy serving the dinner tables, and the setting for the photos was beautiful. Can’t praise this luau enough!

The plantation train tour was really interesting and getting to feed the animals was fun. The food was very good with different tastes of the islands. Loved the show. Would recommend to all.

The performance was great. Location was easy to get to. Train ride around plantation was enjoyable. The open air allow for safer dinning. drinks offer was great as well. Only the food was disappointing. Had no flavor.
