Welcoming guests to Kauai since 2007, Luau Kalamaku is Hawaii's only luau show performed “in-the-round,” offering optimal views of the stage. Witness the unearthing of the pig from the traditional imu (underground oven) and enjoy a hula lesson. A craft fair featuring unique items by local artisans awaits on the sprawling lawn. Feast on a delicious buffet of local and familiar favorites and enjoy a Mai Tai from the open bar. The 45-minute main show tells the amazing story of the ancient Hawaiian legend of Kalamaku “child of the new land." Through laughter, fear, seduction and fire, a new legacy is created, born from the cherished seeds of their ancestors. The theatrical luau show culminates with a fantastic fire dream featuring fire poi balls and traditional fire knife dancing.

Food and drinks were great. Well organized and very entertaining. Before dinner there is a garden tour and train ride for extra cost. Also a lot of local vendors set up to browse through will you sip on your mai tai from the open bar. The show was fun and exciting to watch.

Have been here before took new friend great show but long wait before dinner came out and good was not great. Lots of fire in performance actors were great but it is overpriced and very comercial with extra fee for train ride. And vendors selling lots of Crafts

My wife and I have been to the Luau at the Polynesian Culture Center in Ohau and the Luau on Maui. We were celebrating our 50th wedding anniversary on Kuaui. We went to the Luau Kalamaku for the show and buffet. The seating was so bad that all we could see was from the waist up. Due it being indoors, the sound was muffled and distorted. As far as the food, we sat at a table with 10 adults. The person that delivered the salad dressing put approximately a cup of cream-dressing and approximately a cup of vinaigrette dressing. The cream dressing was gone after the third person and the vinaigrette soon after. There were several people at our table that ate dry salad. We ask for more dressing and it never came. Being indoors, the Luau did not have the ambiance of an outdoor, under-the-stars, fresh-air performance. For the money, I would recommend another Luau on Kuaui. It didn't measure up in several levels.
