Overview

Welcoming guests to Kauai since 2007, Luau Kalamaku is Hawaii's only luau show performed “in-the-round,” offering optimal views of the stage. Witness the unearthing of the pig from the traditional imu (underground oven) and enjoy a hula lesson. A craft fair featuring unique items by local artisans awaits on the sprawling lawn. Feast on a delicious buffet of local and familiar favorites and enjoy a Mai Tai from the open bar. The 45-minute main show tells the amazing story of the ancient Hawaiian legend of Kalamaku “child of the new land." Through laughter, fear, seduction and fire, a new legacy is created, born from the cherished seeds of their ancestors. The theatrical luau show culminates with a fantastic fire dream featuring fire poi balls and traditional fire knife dancing.

This was our fourth luau in Hawaii, was by far the best one, food was terrific, the setting was beautiful, and the show was not just music and dance, but told the story of Hawaii in an interesting way, highly recommend!

This event was great! We recommend you pay the extra $$$ to ride the train before dinner. They give a military discount for the train $15 a person so head of $20 a person. The food was excellent and the show was amazing. Seeing a story of the Kaua’i people was much more informative that just some hula dancers. Like the chief said “we put the wow in luau!”

I have been to several luau's and I think this was by far the best from the easy check in, the drinks, the craft booths, the food and the performances. Excellent!
