Manta Magic - Night Manta Ray Snorkel At Manta Village, Kona, Hawaii

Overview

Avoid the crowds of the other "cattle boats" in Kona, and enjoy a small-group manta ray snorkeling experience with a maximum of 12 passengers.

This tour departs from Keahou Harbor in South Kona and enjoys a short 5-minute boat ride to our snorkeling site, Manta Village.

Your Captain and snorkel guide will educate you on Kona's famous manta rays and will discuss our safe and humane approach to engaging with the gentle giants.

After entering the water, you'll hold onto our lightboard, with your feet propped up by floatation devices, as the manta rays perform a graceful ballet beneath you. The manta rays filter feed on plankton that naturally gathers at the surface just before sunset, then accumulates underneath our lights. This is an opportunity to enjoy an evening on the water and watch in amazement as the manta rays glide around and dance for you.

We went on a 7:30 trip lexy, Justin and Eric were our guide and was absolutely amazing, they guided and answered any questions we had with so much professionalism. We did get to see the manta ray and it was an amazing experience.

Such a magical experience!!! Booking and check-in were super easy. Everyone was on time and made sure to go over all safety info. Throughout the experience, they told us so much about manta behaviors and adaptations, and they all clearly have a ton of respect for the wildlife in the area. The team was funny and engaging, and made sure that everyone had a good time. I'd do this again in a heartbeat -- as a matter of fact, we liked it so much, we booked a Kealekekua snorkel trip with them for later in the week! I'm so glad we did this, and many thanks to the entire team for making sure we had such a great time!!!

Booked a flight and airbnb for this and while I was waiting in my airbnb I checked my email and got zn email that said cancelled. I called them and they said they could refund just the activity but the airbnb and flight was our problem. I asked them about the airbnb and what they could refund and she just hang up! She was so rude. After I looked up where there was still place left and I went with Kona Style. Much better company and way nicer people

This customer booked a tour with us, which was unfortunately canceled due to unforeseen mechanical issues with our boat. While rare, this can happen. We recommended another company that had availability for a similar tour, which the customer was able to book. So, this person came to Hawaii Island for a manta ray tour, and went on a manta ray tour. They are upset that we didn't pay for their airfare and lodging, which is simply ridiculous. We do not have a policy to pay for customers' airfare and lodging if a tour is canceled, and that is not an expectation that reasonable people have. Also, this customer is lying about our staff communication, as this customer hung up the phone on us after we helped them book a tour with a different company! This review should be removed due to lies and ridiculous expectations.
