Manta Magic - Night Manta Ray Snorkel At Manta Village, Kona, Hawaii

Overview
Avoid the crowds of the other "cattle boats" in Kona, and enjoy a small-group manta ray snorkeling experience with a maximum of 12 passengers.

This tour departs from Keahou Harbor in South Kona and enjoys a short 5-minute boat ride to our snorkeling site, Manta Village.

Your Captain and snorkel guide will educate you on Kona's famous manta rays and will discuss our safe and humane approach to engaging with the gentle giants.

After entering the water, you'll hold onto our lightboard, with your feet propped up by floatation devices, as the manta rays perform a graceful ballet beneath you. The manta rays filter feed on plankton that naturally gathers at the surface just before sunset, then accumulates underneath our lights. This is an opportunity to enjoy an evening on the water and watch in amazement as the manta rays glide around and dance for you.

We are proud to be a Green Listed company, and we take an environmentally cautious approach to our interactions with the manta rays.

Wow an amazing experience. We saw so many manta rays and they even touched us. Just bring a towel and a jacket for after cause the water are freezing! But totally worth it

My husband and I did the Manta Ray Night snorkel. It was an experience, but I can’t say I would do it again given the price point. The crew was knowledgeable and nice. It’s quite pricy and while it was a neat experience, it wasn’t amazing like a lot of people describe it. It was ok. We saw a few rays, but they’re not huge and sighting was few and far between. I wish they’d provide a wet suit and not just the top. It was pretty cold and I was relieved/glad when it was over. I was happy to get out of the water.

Thank you for complimenting our crew, as they try hard to make the manta ray experience amazing for everyone. We have more than 1,000 5-star reviews from people who had similar experiences to this guest, and they all found the tour to be breathtaking! We have the pleasure of watching our guests be amazed on a nightly basis, but every once in a while someone is not impressed. If you're not impressed by swimming with wild giant manta rays in the ocean at night, as they come within inches of you, this tour is not the right fit for you. Otherwise, we know you'll have an amazing time.

This was by far the best experience and adventure for our friends. We booked the night Manta Ray boat tour and saw a bunch of manta rays up close, and very close to shore. It was such an amazing experience. It was so fun, and we got the Go Pro camera to watch our experience again later which was totally worth it. We have a lifetime of memories! The boat crew was professional and fun, and helped put me at ease. We had a blast and I 100% reccomend it to anyone visiting the Big Island. You willl never see anything else like it! I highly reccomend Hawaii Oceanic. We ended up booking another Whale Watch tour and Snorkeling tour as well! All 3 tours we're amazing.
