Chief D'Ambra is an engaging, informative tour an encyclopedic knowledge of Manteo's (the T is silent!,) rich history. For anyone visiting the area, this tour will give you an insight to a history many of us didn't know existed. For me, as an Andy Griffith fan, the tour was a great insight into the town he lived in for most of his life and which he based his hit television show on. For anyone visiting the area, I highly recommend this tour.

We all do miss Andy. He loved this special place. It is truly a privilege to host this special tour of this very unique place. Man-EE-OO stands alone in our American story as the birthplace of English colonization and stands as a beacon of freedom for over 430 years. Every era in our American story is touched by a first in history on the Outer Banks. You are now a part of this living history. So, thank you and you are welcome home anytime!
