Our tour guide had us wonderfully captivated for more than two hours! Such amusing and impactful stories, told vibrantly. It felt like a master class on island and Outerbanks history - from pre-European settlement to today.

It is always fun to have groups interact with me as your host the way your group did. We don’t always go for 2 hours but we do our best to make the history entertaining and relevant. This tour was absolutely wonderful. It was clear that Chief not only knew the local history but that he was also passionate about sharing it with others. We learned a lot, we laughed, we enjoyed the breeze and the views. What an abundance of local history Manteo has!!!! I 100% recommend this tour. My husband, myself and our 11 year old daughter all had a wonderful time. Buy the jam!

It has been said that we can not be sure of where we are going if we do not embrace the path from which we have already come. Manteo is still as relevant as ever to our American story. Chief D'Ambra is a wonderful guide! He is incredibly knowledgeable and passionate about Manteo and its fascinating history. I have been going to the Outer Banks my whole life and I learned so many interesting and fun things. I highly recommend this tour! It is a very unique experience, I have been on a lot of walking tours of various places and this was by far my favorite!
