He shares his relationship with the celebrities and many space heroes who made Manteo's history so unique. This tour has been featured on PBS show "NC Weekend". He shares his relationship with several celebrities and many space heroes who have made Manteo such a unique and special place to visit. The Manteo Historic Walking tour was the hightlight of our recent Outer Banks trip. Thanks , Chief- the rich history of this tiny town deserves to be shared, and we enjoyed it so very much, as well as your personal stories ! Even the weather cooperated for a perfect evening.

I go on lots of guided walking tours when I travel and this certainly was one of the most entertaining! Despite being somewhat sleep deprived, I don't think I missed a word the chief said due to his enthusiasm and love for the area. More was learned in this tour than all the other historical activities combined during our trip. Thank you, Chief!!

Chief is a great man. He’s so knowledgeable about the city of Manteo he shares so many personal stories, and so much history. The US Coast Guard, the underground railroad, the Civil War, and even the revolutionary war! There’s so much history packed into this tiny town. I would encourage anyone who has a history bath, to go and do this tour.
